🍀Happy St. Patrick’s Day!🍀

March 17, 2020March 17, 2020

Happy St. Patrick’s Day my stamping friends! With everything going on in the world right now with the Coronavirus, I guess we will all be drinking our green beer or Shamrock shakes and celebrating at home!

While you’re drinking your green beverage, I have a small, but useful tip for you today. Have you ever had your card recipients tell you that your card was torn, etc. from being mailed? Or, maybe you’ve received cards yourself in less than stellar condition.

Well, I have a tip that should help prevent the US Postal Service from delivering your cards damaged. Once your card is beautiful and ready to be mailed, put it in the addressed envelope and then place that envelope inside the clear envelope that Stampin’ Up! sells. Your card will then be protected from the elements!

Item No. 102619

There are only a few weeks of Sale-a-Bration left! Don’t miss out on earning FREE product. If you haven’t had a chance to shop yet, head on over to my online shop here for the latest goodies. New products were added to the Sale-a-Bration freebies on March 1st. There is more info. over at my post here for Sale-a-Bration.

Hope today’s tip was helpful! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!🍀

Happy Friday, the 13th!

March 13, 2020March 10, 2020

Happy Friday, the 13th stamping friends! Who’s superstitious here? I’m not really! Forget the bad luck…I’m choosing to have a great day!

My definition of a “great day” would be stamping all day, no cooking, no laundry, etc. You know, all that “responsible adult stuff”!

Ssh! This card is for my daughter’s birthday (in July)! She is going to be 17 (gasp!) and she’s danced since she’s been 5 years old. Sooo, when Stampin’ Up! came out with this stamp set, Born to Shine, I knew I had to have it. I must be honest though — I bought this stamp set months ago and have not used it. Yes, that’s what us demonstrators do. I knew I would use it at some point for her. I was away for a crafty weekend a few weeks ago and I finally got busy and made this card.

The card is very simple. It’s made with Whisper White card stock, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Petal Pink ink and card stock. Sometimes simple is perfect. I think she’ll love it. Now, I just need to remember that I have the card once July gets here!!

Happy Friday! Hope you get some stamping time in this weekend.

Hugs,

Tool Tip Tuesday

March 10, 2020February 27, 2020

Hello stamping friends! It’s Tuesday and I have a colorful tool tip for you today. I’m going to tell you about a little trick for having the right color embellishments EVERY SINGLE TIME for your projects!

Did you know that you can color them with our Stampin’ Blends? Why, yes you can! Pick out a Stampin’ Blends in a coordinating color, and color that embellishment! You now have that “extra something” for your card!

You can take a look at one of my prior posts showing a colored in embellishment that I put on my card. Check it out here.

See the below list of products that are great for coloring.

Music from the Heart

March 9, 2020March 2, 2020

Happy Monday friends! Can I just tell you how much I love this Music from the Heart stamp set? This is one of the few “music” stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! has had. Everyone in our family plays a musical instrument, so this stamp will get lots of use in my house!

I cut the card front a bit shorter in width So that I could attach the piano keys and leave some black showing. Hope that makes sense! Next, I stamped three rows of piano keys on a piece of whisper white cardstock and then fussy cut. I then adhered them to the card front.

In addition, I added a piece of whisper white cardstock to the inside, but I also kept that width shorter so that it would not stick out past the piano keys. I’m going to save this card for my daughter, who is the piano player in our house. I know she’s going to love it! Especially with the added Bermuda Bay touches. Win-win!

We’re going into the last month of Sale-a-Bration! Don’t miss out on the last month of earning FREE product. If you haven’t had a chance to shop yet, head on over to my online shop here for the latest goodies and the stamp set Music from the Heart. New products were added to the Sale-a-Bration freebies on March 1st.

If you’d like more info regarding Sale-a-Bration, check out my post from last week here.

Happy stamping!

Daylight Savings Reminder

March 6, 2020February 26, 2020

I’m here to reminder you all that it’s Daylight Savings Time for most of us. Don’t forget to turn those clocks ahead this weekend. I’m soooo happy that Spring is on its way, but I don’t always do the best losing that hour of sleep.

Happy weekend everyone! Hope you find some time to stamp!

Retiring Stampin’ Up! Products

March 4, 2020March 2, 2020

Yes, it’s coming up on that time of year where we have the 2018-2020 Retiring In Colors. It’s always a bummer to have the In-Colors leave us. I’m especially going to miss Blueberry Bushel and Lovely Lipstick! Probably Lovely Lipstick the most — I’m a pink kinda girl!

So, my piece of advice to you is order what will be leaving us this month (March). You will get your order in ahead of the “rush” of everyone ordering these products, and if you order over $50, you will get to pick a freebie from the Sale-a-Bration catalogs. Win for you!

You can shop here for all of the above retiring products. Happy stamping friends!

Tool Tip Tuesday

March 3, 2020February 26, 2020

This is not really a “tool” tip today, but here is my Tuesday tip.

Every year, Stampin’ Up! introduces five new colors that are available for only two years. That means the five colors introduced in June 2018 will “Retire” and not be available as of the end of May, 2020. And All of us seasoned Stampin’ Up! People know that most of these products associated with these colors sell out BEFORE the end of May! These are the colors that will be retiring:

Here’s my TIP: Decide which are your “must haves” and order them this month while they’re still available. Plus you’ll earn credit towards purchasing EXCLUSIVE products from our Sale-A-Bration Brochures. Win –Win!

Please contact me and we’ll work on your order this week so you don’t miss out! Happy stamping!

March Mini-Calendar

March 1, 2020February 26, 2020

What? It’s March already? Not that I’m complaining one bit! Here is a peek at the March page for my 2020 mini calendars that I make every year.

I used the Free as a Bird stamp set that I fell in love with immediately when I saw this last year. However, I must admit I haven’t made as many cards as I thought I would. I need to get that set back out! It would make some great springtime cards.

Oops! I just noticed this as I was about to hit the publish button! There is a part of my dear black lab, named Kida, in the picture. Can you spot it?

Hope you enjoyed seeing my March mini calendar page! Happy stamping!

Let’s Make a Splash!

February 24, 2020February 24, 2020

Oh my! Have you seen this stamp set Make a Splash? It’s been a big of a sleeper in the 2020 Mini Catalog, plus it’s a set that you can earn as a Hostess, so I think it’s been a bit unnoticed.

I decided to use this set for my quick cards class that I hold on Thursday evenings and all of the ladies loved it! I used the following colors of card stock: Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock and Whisper White. For the inks, I used Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Pear Pizzazz, and Smoky Slate and then I added some linen thread and the iridescent sequins for added fun and dimension!

Hope you all had a nice weekend. I was lucky enough to get away for a “crafty” weekend! I was able to make lots of cards to share with you in the upcoming months. Stay tuned!

Also, Sale-a-Bration will be coming to an end in about five weeks. If you’re looking to buy any stamping goodies, now is a great time. Check out my online store here.

Happy stamping!

Simple Sympathy

February 20, 2020February 27, 2020

Hello stamping friends! Today is a happy day since the sun is shining here in Hershey! It seems like it’s been dreary and rainy here for a very long time. Anyway, I have a super simple sympathy card for you today.

Unfortunately, we all need the dreaded sympathy card. My stash is running low, since sympathy cards are not high on my list of cards to make, so I decided it was time to make a few more for my stash. This card features the Garden Lane DSP and the Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder. I used Garden Green ink and a Mint Macaron Light Blend to color in the white accent. I also used some White Baker’s Twine to add a little bow. That’s it…easy peasy!

Sale-a-Bration is one of the BEST times of the Stampin’ Up! year and we are halfway through! The last day to earn FREE products is March 31st.
