Sympathy Cards

Hello stampin’ friends!  Sorry, I’ve been a bit absent over the last week and a half.  It’s just been crazy busy here!  In addition to my Stampin’ Up! business, I also work part time with a real estate agent and we had a trade show last weekend and that took up a lot of time.  Plus, my kiddos are 13 and 16.  Now is the time that I am playing taxi driver.  I feel like I am in my car all the time shuttling them around.  It’s okay though — I enjoy seeing their friends and hearing what’s going on in their lives.

Today, I am sharing with you a sympathy card.  Sadly, we all need them.  This past week we lost a very dear  “grandmother”  in our family.  It was my husband’s step-mother’s mother, so she was not biologically related to us.  Although, we were close to her and our family called her Gramma Z.  She fled her native country to Latvia back during the war with her husband, two children and one on the way to come to the United States.  She was a special lady and will be missed terribly.

Also, this card features Stampin’ Up’s awesome watercolor pencils.  You need to try them if you haven’t already.  So much fun!

Hello stamping friends!  Happy Monday.  I’m sharing one last Valentine’s Day card with you  since tomorrow is the BIG day.  This card was inspired by a fellow demonstrator out there in Pinterest land.  Hope you have a special card for all your lovies.  This card features the Love Notes Framelits!  They have been lots of fun to play with!!

GIRL’S WEEKEND OF STAMPIN’ & SCRAPPIN’

Do you like to get away and have some undistracted time to yourself to do some crafting?  Well, if you’re local to Hershey, PA, I’ve got a weekend for you in September!  I, along with two other demonstrators, are planning our first retreat and we’d love to have you join us!

Lift Me Up!

Hello friends!  I’m sharing with you today a card that I made with my library ladies the other week that features the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This folder is not the same as the other embossing folders.  It creates a depossed impression!  Two folders come together, one of which is celebrate, as shown in this card and the other word is HAPPY.

Hello friends!  This is me today!  I received a call last week from Stampin’ Up! to let me know that I’ve been invited to be a Display Board Stamper for the upcoming OnStage in Richmond this April.  Remember my post from January 6th showing my work and submitting my application?

I’m so excited and a little nervous at the same time.  I can’t wait to see what stamping goodies I will be receiving this week.  Each display stamper is sent a box of new product to create our projects with.  Wish me luck!  I will be sure to post pics of all the new goodies once Stampin’ Up! gives us the go ahead.

Lift your Spirits!

Hello stamping friends!  Today I’m sharing  with you a card that I created using the Lift Me Up stamp set and the Up & Away Thinlits Dies.   I am so loving these balloons!  This stamp set is very versatile.  It has great sentiments such as, birthday, congratulations, love, lifting spirits and sending smiles.  Lots of wonderful uses.

Heart & Watercolor Pencils

Hello friends!  I was playing with the watercolor pencils over the weekend and I love them!  There are so many things that you can do with them.  Here is a picture of what I came up with for Valentine’s Day using the Bloomin Heart Thinlits and the Sealed with Love stamp set for my sentiment. It may be a little too feminine for my husband.  What do you think?  The colors that I blended together are rich razzleberry, melon mambo, and calypso coral.

Hearts and Arrows

Hello friends!

I’m here to share another Valentine’s Day card with you.  I told you I was in full Valentine’s Day card making mode now! I may share this one with my library ladies, but it is a little more time consuming than I like for the library.  Library classes are to be quick and moderately easy.  Those ladies like to get in, make their card and be on their way for the day.  However, we do have a few “chatty” ones that like to stick around!  Don’t get me wrong, they all are very friendly and like to chat, but some know how to take it to another level (haha)!

So, on with the card…

 

This one I used the Sealed with Love Stamp Set and the Love Notes Framelits.  LOVE them both!  I also used the Tags and Labels Framelits to make the white tags that are kind of hiding in the background.  I used the Sending Love Designer Series Paper, along with Real Red and Whisper White.  The ink is Real Red as well.

Valentine’s Day Card Class

Hello stamping friends!  I wanted to let you know about a Valentine’s Card Class that I am having at my home  in Hershey.  If you’re not local, see below — I can prepare the cards for you!    In this class we will make ten Valentine’s Day cards for your movies!  I will design three different cards and you will make three of each design.  You will then get to pick your favorite for the tenth card.  Cost is $22 which includes all supplies, plus envelopes.  However, please bring  your favorite adhesive.  As always, if you forget yours, I will have Stampin’ Up! adhesive available for purchase.

This class is always a favorite and fills up fast.  Register early as this class is at my house and there is limited space.

If you’re not local, can’t make it, or just don’t have time to make handmade cards, but would still like to get your hands on them, please email me.  I will send you ten COMPLETED cards for $22, plus an additional $5 fee for me to prepare everything.  Contact me today!
