Hello stamping friends! I have an adorable Easter card to share with you today.  Have you started thinking about your Easter cards yet? I’ve been slowly getting in to the Easter mode.  I’ve been busy preparing my display board samples for OnStage which is coming up this weekend!  I’m so excited!  It’s always fun to chat and swap cards with other demonstrators.  It’s a great day to hang out with people who share the same love of stamping as you do.  I will be sure to share pictures of my display samples once we return.  Everything is a secret right now!  Shhh!

Hello stamping friends!  Today I am sharing with you a “manly” card.  Why is it always so hard to make cards for the guys?  I always seem to be quick to make cards with flowers, etc. and when I need to grab a quick  birthday card for a guy, I am always out!

I am planning to make a card that I would be comfortable giving to a guy each week to share with you here on Mondays.    I’m hoping it will will help me build up my manly card stash!  Here’s a pic of one of the cards that I recently made.  I love the Urban Underground  DSP from this year’s Occasion Catalog.

Hello stamping friends!  I recently read an article in Dr. Oz’s magazine that resonated with me.

Dr. Oz talks about all of us living our lives in the express-lane.  Life moves so fast, no matter how much you want to linger, enjoy and make memories.  I certainly feel this way lately.  I have two teenage children and I feel like I am constantly on the go with their activities and social life.    Dr. Oz states that while predictable routines can be good for productivity and healthy living, this sense of life whizzing on by is definitely a downside.  He challenges us to venture in to new territory more often, even in the smallest of ways. If you’ve been wanting to study a new skill, like, painting, learning a new language, or  card making, don’t put it off because you’re unsure of your abilities or where to start.

There’s a rhythm to life that comes from routine, and that habitual heartbeat helps power you forward.  But doing new things comes with an amazing slow-the-clock-down gift.  Grab a friend and find a local Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and sign up for a class today.  Card making is very relaxing and good for the soul.  Once you’ve completed your card, send it off to make someone’s day.  Who doesn’t love  to receive “happy” mail?  My challenge to you is find a class and try it out. Woot woot!!  It’s March 20th and the first day of Spring!  Not that it feels like it here in the northeast, but hopefully it’s just around the corner.  This card was made with the Flower Patch stamp set and I thought it went well with spring!

Hello stamping friends!  Holy mother nature!  We live in the northeast and we were just recently pummeled with snow Monday night into Tuesday.   Last check, the total was 19 inches at our house.  The kiddos are loving life right now.  They had both Tuesday and Wednesday off  from school.  Hope all is back to normal tomorrow.  Even though I was able to get lots of stamping done on Tuesday, the cabin fever is starting to set in now.  I got to work on lots of my samples for the Display Board at OnStage coming up in April, so I can’t share any of those pics with you (yet).  Shhh…  it’s all a secret.
